Solid likes electro.  And we’re not talking about the trancy, clubby stuff that the mp3 stores are throwing in their electro house bins and calling it electro.  We’re talking about that funky, cold, moody, techy, mechanical, broken-beat, bass-driven robot music that was called electro ever since Afrika Bambaataa and Kraftwerk started making it.  He asked Corey Scott to come down and play some of it for his birthday, and that’s exactly what Corey’s gonna do, with the help of long-time DJ buddies josh23 and Mad Wax.  Jump up from Solid, then four hours of electro from three DJs who can’t wait to give it to you proper.  This promises to be a great night.  Free to get in, cheap drinks, and the best electro we can dig out to drop for you.  Ages 21+.  See you at Kazmos!

This promises to be a great night. Forest is one of our favorite DJs (not mention, favorite people). The energy she brings to the decks is nothing but positive and her selection, programming and mixing are absolutely awesome! She’s an amazing creature and will refresh your faith in the music we all love. It’s impossible for an event to be without a thick, energizing vibe when she’s playing, and impossible to attend without having a blast. In case you’re not familiar with Forest, you can check out her website or visit her MySpace page, but do yourself a favor and don’t miss a chance to catch her in person when she comes to Denver.

The rest of the music for this event draws from some very exciting local Denver talent, and we’re honored to for a chance to play with them. I mean, come on… Forest Green, Tommy B, Sureshot and Fonzie, Ishe, Soleil, FUZE, Dr.U, Cyber Fetish Dolls? This is going to be a good time.

…But this night is going to be very interesting for us on a personal note as well. As some of you have probably heard, Corey lost an entire hard drive that was loaded with audio projects in December. It contained the entirety of his body of work on the Sound Logic project, along with solo projects and remixes spanning over a decade. We won’t bore you with the melodramatic emotional loss this hard drive failure has caused (that’s what the blog section is for), we can say that we are attempting to move forward with what’s actually a refreshingly clean slate. What we are bringing to the table Feb. 2nd will be 100% brand new music, completely fresh, offering a very current picture of the way in which we would ultimately like Sound Logic to evolve. New ideas, less pre-programmed material, and with a huge focus on originality and improvisation.

Join mother Earth sound system Saturday July 7th for a very speical night as they present the Denver debut of JOEL MULL (Inside records, Harthouse, Railyard Recordings). Joel will be playing a hybrid live-dj set supporting his new album, The Observer, on Harthouse.

Hailing from Stockholm Sweden, Joel began my musical road with studies at classic music school for 6 years. After many excursions in different rock & funk bands in his teens, electronic music caught all his attention. He invested all my money in sampler and outboard effects and since 1993 has released Techno/House music on labels from Sweden, UK, Germany, USA, Japan, Italy, Portugal. Labels such as: HYBRID, DRUMCODE, UNDERWATER, KOMBINATION RESEARCH, MUSICMAN, KANZLERAMT, to name a few. 1997 gave birth to a new platform, Insiderecords. It is his own label and he finally got 100% control of artwork and music. Joel has been djing for 15 years all over the Globe. Joel lives for the moment and loves to create music.
