oh no!!!

One of my hard drives crashed!

I lost about three weeks worth of studio work I was doing for a contract, which will now have to be redone, for free. That was bad enough, but tonight I also found out that it contained the only copies of my original music projects. I thought it was a backup copy, but apparently through some horrible oversight I had MOVED the files to this drive, not COPIED them there. Now they are gone.

Some of what this drive contained:

All the digitalb0y project files.
All the sound logic project files.
All 200+ Reason tracks in various stages of completion.
All the Ableton projects I’ve ever done, solo or with James.

This is not good. We still have the tracks that we’ve finished, and James has all the work he’s done, but all the stuff that I played live, from projects in various stages of completion is GONE, along with a decade’s worth of other projects and ideas. Tons of tracks I thought would someday be good enough to release, countless hours of material created for the sake of live performance… the list goes on and on.  This is going to sting for a long, long time.
